BY law, do you HAVE to tell someone you have herpes 1 or 2?
Or if you use a condom and dont tell them??

The majority of the population have those 2 , most of them will never have any symptoms.
if everybody says that it will unnecessarily scare everybody.
but I think you are not obligated to say it

In reading up on it and Im seeing that in the state of ny and a few others, that ig you know that you have to tell them. but in a controversy, the herpes can stay i your system for a while and you wont even have symptoms. so in that case, you could of had another sex partner in that time frame of not knowing if you had it or not

Let's put this way , you can try very hard to avoid contracting herpes all you life ,but it's very likely that you'll get it anyway ,not matter how hard you try to avoid it.
And you'll probably never have any symptoms.
Even if you get the symptoms ,after a 1 ,2 , 3 episodes they'll disappear forever

@pattino, if you & your partner are monogamous and don't have herpes to begin with you won't get it.

I didn't think a condom would stop transmission of herpes. If you have herpes and you don't tell you're partner you're a pretty despicable person.
