Your probably better asking the person who gave you the diagnosis, they will be more expert in the field than we can be

Lax Cardia means your lower oesophageal sphincter isn't providing the pressure required to hold it shut to prevent reflux. Reflux of acid has caused oesophagitis.

Grade A: one or more mucosal breaks no longer than 5 mm, none of which extends between the tops of the mucosal folds.

You need to reduce your reflux and ensure it is not acidic.

Keep a food diary to see whether you have any trigger foods. Most likely culprits will be fatty foods that don't break down in acid and reside in the stomach longer.

However, recent research has confirmed that foods are not responsible for acid hyper-secretion nor reflux, though some drugs found in foods can relax the musculature of the lower oesophageal sphincter exacerbating reflux - principally nicotine and to a lesser extent alcohol and perhaps caffeine.

It's not so much what we eat as how we eat that's important.

Do not overfill your stomach: eat little and often.

Keep upright when eating and eat slowly, small mouthfulls, chewed well. (This will stimulate extra mucous production to lubricate and protect the oesophagus. )

Avoid any exercise after food that will compress, tilt or shake the stomach.

    Avoid tight clothing.

Leave at least 3 hours between your last meal and going to bed.

Raise the head of your bed by 6 to 8 inches on blocks.
