I had surgery 3 days ago where they drained an infection, laid open a fistula and banded a haemorrhoid. I am still in severe pain and wound bleeds when I open bowels.
Anyone had any experience of this and can advise how long before the pain subsides. I can’t sit yet, can only lay down.

It will take a good few weeks, just follow your Dr instructions in regards to how to treat your open fistula wound.
It will get better, you just need more time.

Pain should subside gradually. If it's unbearable or yo uhave fevers, call your your CRS. Hope you get well.
