Leaking below the scar , first were blisters, now wound

Anyone has had similar experiences? Please help...

I had bunion surgery about 4 1/2 months ago and I had some blisters around the scar , some had gone some have turned into a wound like just below the edge of the scar ( where the metatarsal bone was cat).  The wound keep leaking clear fluid and is not healing...  there are almost 3 months now,  it will leak when standing, sleeping...

It took  3 months for the scar to heal in some places and now has reopened in same places and there is some leak is well...

I’m waiting for Gp to refer me back to the specialist... That would take time anyway,  I feel like I’m the only person in the world that is going through this , I have become anxious and stressed and now I have some rushes and eczema on my body as well...

My big concern now is the woun that is not healing, the foot is still swollen and there is presure in it when I walk...

Has anyone been experienced similar? Please help...

Hello, I'm sorry you're having these problems. If I were having the issues you are describing I would call my surgeon and let them know as soon as possible. I had my bunion/hammer toe surgery on February 1, 2018 so I'm at about five and a half months post surgery and my scars haven't leaked anything since about 4 weeks post surgery and have healed completely.

    God bless and take care!

Thank you for your reply. I contacted the hospital once and they told me I was discharged back to Gp. At the time I was last seen by the surgeon the scar was completely healed, it was only the issue with blister, that the doctor said is a Dermatology think...

Last week I saw dermatologist and I was told to see the surgeon back... I’m seeing gp today and ask for referral..  I will try and give them a call again and see what they say..
