Leaking urine - urology appt what to expect

Hi guys. I went to my doctor for an ongoing issue with my urine leakage. She couldn't do anything so referred me to a urologist. My appt is on Tuesday. I feel pretty stupid for going because it seems like a minor issue but actually it's life changing for me. So if someone could tell me what roughly to expect or if anyone has the same id be greatful
So all day everyday i need to wear protective lining in my underwear. I'm a female and in late teens. Within an hour after using the toilet, my underwear is soiled. I noticed sneezing and coughing/laughing makes it come out more. It's definitely urine. It's constant, day and night. If I dont wear lining I change my underwear up to 4 times a day, it's such an issue. And at my age, I don't want to keep doing this. As its embarrassing and smelly and unhygienic.

You don't have to worry too much I have had incontinence for 18 months and it never goes away... Yout better just living with it... The doctors force you to take medicine for the bladder spasms and leaking and it makes you it worse... I had to dump the pills down the toilet at one point... I am a 19 year old guy and I totally understand what it feels like socially... But it's easier to hide something underneath clothes then it is to hide something everyonr can see... I use abena L3's they are a good pull on underwear and since i am huge into excercising it's a good route too go... Lastly I would tell the doctors that you don't want any evasive tests done... They tried sticking a catheter in me and fill me with water and it is really painful... Many people have said the same thing... They fill you with so much water until your body just pees itself... It is something you should avoid doing it will make you cry and feel hopeless gauranteed so just keep these things in mind.... You'll be okay... I just stay away from the medical treatments because they make your life worse

It's really not the life I want to live it's so deliberating. Maybe if it's nothing I will have to just cope with it but it makes me so miserable. Thanks v much for your reply, i'll bare that in mind.

You must be completely honest with the urologist about your symptoms and the impact it is having on you. You may need various tests to find out what is causing your problem and what needs to be done, needs to be done to achieve the end result of resolving your symptoms and giving you your life back.
I know from experience of a different urology problem that you can feel really embarrassed and awkward discussing things but for the urologist to do his job properly he needs to ask certain questions. He/she has seen/heard it all before.
Try to stop worrying, take care of yourself and keep in touch.

I defo will, I am abit apprehensive in being honest on here though lol but what i said pretty much is everything.I'm just worried he/she turns around and says it's not a real issue and just to "ignore" it. Thanks.

UPDATE:
I had my appointment and it went much better than expected. They did the usual bladder scan and urine test. Actually, my bladder came back as full with 300ml which is high apparently considering i went to the toilet a few minutes before but said its inaccurate. Also, I had blood in my urine which is also normal in teenagers. I explained my symptom and hes ordering an ultrasound, urodynamic test study and a trip to the neurologist! An interesting link is my back pain, feet pins and needles could be linked in with a nerve issue in the bladder so thats why im going there. He said it's bladder retention, probably chronic as had for years.
