Lebectomy

I had a lobectomy a couple of weeks ago, lost the right sigt side superior and middle lobes.   I was supposed to spend 2 days in ICU with a drain attached and then be tranferred to the wards for another 4-5 days.   As it turned out I spent 7 days in ICU with the drip attached to a vacuum machine and then 2 days in the wards, complements of a small hole left by the surgeon.   I was released yesterday with boxes and boxes of pain meds.   Very painful getting the aftermath of this procedure and very short of breath.   Hopefully, I'll get a few years before it returns as cancer usually does.

Just goes to show how quickly time passes, I was actually in ICU for 10 days followed by two in the ward.    Lost around 2/3 of my right lung, today I was advised the second tumour the Surgeon found was benign, so I lost the middle section for nothing.
