Left Arm Ache

Hi
For the last couple of weeks i've had an ache down the top half of my left arm. It is not painful (just a slight dull ache) and isn't all the time. Its a little worse today for some reason and my legs seem a bit more achey. I've booked a doctors appointment but earliest I can get is in 9 days time so thought i'd ask to see if there is anything more obvious this could be. I think it's nothing to worry about but want to make sure.
Some more background, although I think its irrelevant.
A couple of weeks ago I got a trapped nerve in my left shoulder blade which made it painful to move but this went away. I have had this very occasionally before and noting else has come about from it so may not be related.
Some other almost certainly unrelated things are that I also had a cold a couple of weeks ago and have maintained a very minor cough since.
Apologies if i've posted in the wrong topic. Was difficult to find one more suitable.
Cheers
Stephen

I still get a ache but in bother arms and I get tingle in my hands it can wake me up. I am not sure but c5 c6 c6 discs when u trap a nerve in ur should u can get aches from discs the ache in ur leg I think it's all spine related.
i would ask for a mri scan. i expect nerve pain in my lower half as i had a large compression l5 or. it cause massive nerve damage i have mobility issues i have a colostomy and a ileal conduit wee stoma I was left for 6 days by my locall hospital that was in 2008 it cost a lot of money they paid me since I have had my bladder removed it was left in but went septic I have had colostomy revision and 2 hernia operation all because of their mistake I would of held out for more I did not know all these extra operation i have had c5c6c7 plates and cages and those discs removed and last November I see the consultant and not his juniors he retook at a scan I had to years before and notice l3 l6 werethe discus were bulging that's why my strong left leg was getting weak. he had me in and done the whole lot plates rods cages that move.

I have similar issues with my hands and arms below the elbow. I had a nerve conduction test where it determined i had cubital tunnel issues with the ulnar nerve being pinch while sleeping with arm bent or elbow pressing against any surface.

It may be something to do with having had a trapped nerve before since the pain is in the same arm. Neuralgia can come and go. Having had a cold and cough doesn't seem connected. In my experience, doctors can't do much for nerve pain other than give low dose anti depressants which are toxic and cause more problems than they solve. My doctor was no help to me with my neuralgia which was caused by a dodgy blood test. He was very dismissive when I suggested standard painkillers and outlined the side effects that concerned me especially the problem of withdrawing from these drugs. I was offered anti depressants which I refused. I decided to tolerate the pain, numbness and tingling and let the wonderful Italian sun soothe my symptoms instead. My advice would be to wait and see if the pain goes away on its own.

I hate taking pregabalin also the one that taking for 10 years is my addiction oxycodone.
I have such intense pain in my lower body the nerves play a big part. they do help I thought morphine was stronger but oxycodone is it nearly 4times . I take 2 slow release30mg I was on a lot higher.
last time I was in hospital I had a pain relief drip u press the button they used oxycodone. instead of morphine as it do make u itch and dos not make u sick or zoned out as I write this I am on my bed cant move the pain and nerve pain. I had a 2 week course 2 years ago this time last year I had neroumodulation implant and a battery that send signals it blocks nerve pain out of the 10 of us only 4 have the full implants and the battery is put under the skin I was unlucky I caught a serious infection the study was stopped the implants were removed that was it. lucky really as I was found to have yet another disc compression and had more major back surgery I am in so much pain

my whole back as been done unless like me I at to have it done never go that root because the pain u had before will be worse after the operation. again I been let down they done the operation and left me to get on with it ok I could not go to london for physio. but I could have been fast tracked I think the unbearable ache I get is acute pain I know the nerve pain. since the 1st operation where I was left for 6days in compression. which caused all the long term damage.

I fell on my back and damaged the bone at the base of my spine. It never healed and I do get random pain flare ups which painkillers help. I never get any injury checked because I am always worse off afterwards and doctors cause me such intense anxiety, it is really not worth it.

I was sent by my gp straight to a e with a letter I waited for 4.30 hours to be told by some young junior doctor he thought I was trying to que jump to get a back operation that was Aug 2008 I went to my doctors for something different he notice I was dragging my left leg. anyway we went home I posted a letter in my gp surgery having a go he rang on the monday saying go to a e they will admit me they did but left me for to more day no pain relief just a pee bottle they decide to do a MRI scan late Tue afternoon. I was in bed midnight was woken by a 999 ambulance crew they said the was taking me to kings Denmark hill london I was blue light the prepared for theatres I was told by the surgeon a couple of day later it was a mass he said he thought I would lose bladder and bowel function due to the nerve damage. if that doctor had admitted me and done a scan I would of had the op in the magic 48hours and when they admitted me they failed me again so I sued and and I jan 2012 they settled on 1.2 million damages pay out they paid all the costs every bill. so I am a millionaire my house I now have is over 1.1 million. I had it all converted we brought a caravan as we had money before all this I miss my old life so much
