i have been having left sided chest pain and pain going down my left arm started nearly 3 weeks ago went to hospital and did an ecg and all the bloods tropnin and all okay so got send home and told to do a stress echo. i did the stress echo and was all okay and started to feel a bit better but few days later bam pain back again left chest down the arm. doctor thinks might be Costochondritis but i dunno about that because i thought that doesnt cause left arm pain? i am getting referred to a cardio doc but gotta wait till jan 2nd to see them. i am kinda nervous about waiting because pain isn't good at ALL. i am a 30 year old male a tad unfit and a smoker. has anyone gone through this kind of thing before? i am scared ill be RIP soon from my heart or something.

hi ive been going through exactly the same thing lasting months, started with left sided chest pain radiating down my arm got taken to hospital and told id had a heart attack as troponin was slightly raised kept in a week had a echocardigram a cardio angiogram and a cardiac mri all clear so wasnt a heart attack or a heart problem but why the pain fast forward a few months i had an endoscopy that diagnosed a hiatel hernia where part of the stomach protudes into the chest causing chest pain im not sure if you have any acid problems or anything but might be worth asking for an endoscopy to check and see if thats a possible cause, also i had to quit smoking as its really not good for the heart and the whole thing terrified me enough to quit so i vape now i used to be a heavy smoker, but at 33 been told it may be my heart was enough to scare me into quitting, i wish you luck in all your tests and please persevere until you have some answers best wishes
