Left chest pain due to anxiety?

I don't normally get much or frequent chest pain with my anxiety (I did get some a few months before when I was hyperanxious and got heart tests which turned out fine) however lately I've been getting pains mostly on my left chest, sometimes near the centre sometimes underneath or beside my breast. The sensations vary from a sudden electric shock feeling to a dull pain that centres on one spot of said affected area. I don't think I'm anxious when it happens sometimes and it's making me anxious lol and so rarely does the pain appear on my right chest so it's made me more worried, but then again I had tests done already. Does anyone with anxiety experience the same?

Yes to all your symptoms and then some. My main complaint is chest pains, sensations, and discomfort.  I thought I was having a heart attack the first time I went to the emergency room over 20 years ago. They didn't know what was wrong but they told me I was NOT having a heart attack and that I would be fine.  This is how I was finally diagnosed with anxiety & panic disorder. I don't feel anxious, I just get physical symptoms, the main ones being in my chest. One of my therapists described it to me like this, you have anxiety but you don't know it until the anxiety tells your body to react in some way shape or form and once your body reacts (physical symptoms) it makes you anxious. And around and around you go. So you don't have to feel anxious to have anxiety or even a panic attack. You can have one physical symptom or 50. The best advice I can give you is to seek treatment for your anxiety, whatever that means for you. Whether it is medication and/or therapy/counseling or alternative coping skills or herbal remedies. Find whatever works best for you and focus on dealing with the anxiety instead of looking for that physical cause. You can do that too but make sure you are addressing the anxiety. Best of luck!!!

My doctor said its either trapped wind as my back pain moves or acid reflux as its caused by my anxiety but of course i dont believe her xx
