Left ear pain past year; still no answers from doctors...help?

I have had ear pain dating back to January of 2014. It all started with an ear ear infection. I was initially given the usual ear infection medication (amoxcillian) which didn't do to the trick. Predinose was prescribed afterwards and it took care of the infection but the ear pain never went away. ENTs have said my ear looks normal and the pain is being referred from somewhere else. I have seen an oral surgery for TMJ, neurologist, chiropractor, and a dentist and none of them have been able to pinpoint what it is. I have also had numerous MRIs that show nothing. Along with the ear pain, I sometimes get pain in my neck region/left shoulder. For a bit of time, I used to get back of the head headaches but those have gone away.

There are two causes that I have been pointing to. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, my bottom left root was left in due to it being close to a nerve. My neurologist and oral surgeon said this wouldn't be causing ear pain, but a different oral surgeon said that it could. The risk of getting it removed is possible numbness in my lip/chin for an indefinite amount of time.

The second cause that I have read about is Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR). Along with my ear pain, I have a constant cough, mucus build up, and acid reflux like conditions without the burning. I don't smoke. I am seeing an ENT for this tomorrow.

Any help would be appreciated. 24/M.

Is your ear blocked? I am suffering from blocked ear with occasional ear pain due to reflux so could be this.

No, it is not blocked. I had a hearing test months ago that was fine. I don't feel like anything is abnormal besides the pain. Though they say even if you are losing some of your hearing it is hard to tell.
