Left loin pain for 3 weeks

so 3 weeks ago I had a pain in my back I put it down to a possible strain thought my dog had maybe pulled on the lead. 5 days after I had excruciating pain and was in tears and had to call 111 this pain did ease but for 3 weeks the pain has been constant more of a dull pain then I will get a stabbing sudden pain. doctors put me on ciprofloxacin for a suspected kidney infection and asked for me to have blood test and xray. blood tests came back high ferretin and xrays showed stones in kidney bladder and uteric tube. I was told to go to a and e where I had ct scan which showed nothing . my urine tests have been fine but the pain remains I feel like the doctors have now washed their hands of me and the pain is worrying me. I hardly ever go to the doctors but in 3 weeks I have had 4 doctor visits 2 blood tests x ray ct scan 2 antibiotics and painkillers

    is it a type of pain that gets numb from icing the area? have you tried moist heat? look on amazon for "Hydrocollator Pad". A must have if you endure chronic back pain. I also recommend you purchase a muscle stim unit that does TENS and EMS at a minimum and better, has Interferential as well. self therapy for the back goes a LONG way towards managing pain and speeding recovery. I've had to wear my muscle stim Unit throughout the work day amd sleeping many, many times.

    I'd go see a neurosurgeon who will most likely order an MRI. The tests you've had to date focus on urinary issues, infection, and possible tumor. (Well, x-ray would show any fracture or arthritic condition if they x-rayed your back). MRI will most likely reveal any back injury.

      thank you for your reply the pain is now more in the front than the back been over 3 weeks now and I cant sleep on the side and uncomfortable at my desk at work

      doctors havent been very good if I'm honest being referred to a urologist and having a ct scan for my stomach and bladder. this is 3 1/2 weeks of stomach pain now which is constant which is worrying. would I have other symptoms with shingles ? I'll have a read about it now
