I wonder if anyone can relate to this ?

I’ve had a pain VERY LOCALISED slightly to the left of my mid back.  It’s there all the time. Worse with deep inhaling. Nothing else really aggravates it. ?  Dr say s muscular, osteopath say stuck emotion.  (Haha google says pancreatic cancer).  I’ve no weight loss and no other real symptoms. Just this continued nag. Which I’ve had now for around 12 wks

    Hi Fiona,

    What triggered your pain?

I certainly can relate but my pain is on my right side upper side (Thorasic).

In 2011 I was in a car accident (rear ended) I was at a stop sign, when a car rear ended me at 40 MPH. Imediatly I experience a mild pain (felt I got stung by a bee. Sorry getting off track.

For month my Orthopedic told me the same muscular. Weeks and months whent by, symptoms worsening including with deep breaths, and finally after seeing other specialists, I finally got an MRI to reviled that I have a herniated disk. Buy this time the damage on my disc became permanently. Since 2011  I suffer with pain, specially with twisting, bending and occasionaly with breathing.

After I saw a pain Specialist, I have had several procedures Radiofrequency ablation (or RFA) is a procedure, chiropractic, massages and an implant spinal cord stimulus (what a joke).

My recommendation is, is to see an Orthopedic(If you have not done so) and see a chiropractor. Since you have been dealing with this now for 12 weeks, you should get an MRI.

I wish you the best and I hope you can find the right Doctor.

My first guess is something that I experienced once. This was on my left side just around the last rib and wrapped around to my back. It was extremely painful not just a nagging pain but I believe it could just be a mild case with yours. I wonder if you pulled an intercoastel muscle. They are between each rib holding the rib cage together but allowing it to expand when you take a breath. If that is what your problem is you can expect it to take about a month to heal and stop hurting. There's really not much you can do about it but you might bring it up to a chiropractor and see if he has some techniques for helping muscle pulls. I was in so much pain that my doctor put me on Prednisone and Gabapentin to help deal with the pain and inflammation.
