Has anyone had a Shoulder Replacement have the flat part Fail? Just wondering how many are in our discussion? I am not looking forward to the surgery. I had it replaced in Sept 2016, been down hill ever since! Can use anyone's support!

Hi Claudia, How did it fail? Did it break? Or did it come loose from the shoulder bone? Did you fall on it? Did you over-extend it? Did you over-work it? I had a Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement about a year ago and so far it's OK. But I asked my doctor What is the typical failure mode and he just brushed me off.

Yes, it maybe defective? Next surgery will be a Reversal. It was never injured but in PT it popped so loud everyone heard it. I have been very sick after the replacement, just started feeling better! I can not lift the arm up and never have been able to? I was so happy to be rid of the pain, I did not think something was very wrong with it. Did have a set down with my Dr and I do not believe he did many thing wrong! All I know it is the flat part and not the socket. Monday I am having nerve testing on both arms! Already have done the blood test for infection and toxins in the blood...Thanks you for being so caring😊
