hi, 1 week ago i went to the doctor and got diagnosed with mumps and signed off for a week, the following week i went back to the drs and he said he thinks it wasnt mumps but some sort of viral infection. i had period type pains for a week now but period isnt due for ages. when he felt my stomach it was so sore and tender that he took full bloods, the day after i was back at the drs, the pain started in my left lower abdomen and the following day had spread up my abdomen to the top of my abdomen running all the way to the bottom. today the pain has spread even more and is covering my entire left side from top to bottom, ive been to the drs every day this week and they keep giving me tablets that dont help at all. the pain is a constant dull crampy pain then i get stabby sharp pains every few hours, i hope someone can advise me on what to do next as all my blood results have come back fine but the pain is so unbareable each day its getting worse. thank you

you are a little limited in what you can do; but VERY able in what you CAN do with regards to reducing any possible inflammation and reducing sugar intake etc.
So ; whilst checking in with the GP; take some anti-inflammatory garlic tablets (also anti-oxidants) and due to pancreas i would introduce some digestive enzymes when you eat food. Garlic is akin to penicillin in a lot of ways.
It is important to ensure youa re getting all your daily vitamin requirements; as silly as it sounds; b vitamins and suchlike; you would be surprised at how your body can play up without them, and you would also be surprised how much better your body cn repair itself wtih the right vitamins and foodstuffs.
There are also some natural pain killers in foods that you can try; in addition to the pain killers, but ask your gp to review your medication next time you feel well enough to get there. not all pain killers work for everyone due ot the way they work.. And please try to take some anti-oxidant foods (like redgrapes ) to clear the waste from the blood and make it a litlte easier on your organs whilst you are getting better..

Why did your doc think it was mumps? You need to ask your doc for an ultrasound. The direction in which the pain started and is going could be related to kidney stones. Are there any chages regarding your urine? Under the patients charter for England and Wales you are entitled to a second opinion if you are a UK resident..hope this helps..best wishes

Yes if your glands were up this is usually a sign of infection..I take it they have gone down now and you still have the pain As I mentioned ask your doc for an ultrasound scan, which you are entitled to as a second opinion. best wishes......
