Left side pain

I've been hurting n my left side under my rib.and its n the same place in my back.it started 2days ago.it feels itchy on the inside and the pain is off n on.wel I woke up this morning and it's itchy n it's starting to feel numb.idk what's going on it really bothers me,I have 11kids and just miscarriage 3mths ago.i had a Pap smear done it came back abnormal but I'm not sure what it is.i am anemic but I've always been..I just wished t a stop it's irritating.and it mainly hurts when I lay down or sit

    Brandy, sorry to hear about your pain.  I'm not a physician, but it sounds like it could be somethintg other than pancreatitis.  Having pain is one of the symptoms, but are you also having vomittng, pain in your shoulders, difficulty when you eat certain foods that are high in fat content, elevated enzyme levels.  I would recommend seeing a GI specicialist as your general practioner is not always well versed in pancreas issues.  I would keep a log of what you are eating everyday and make notation about how your body reacts.  At the very least have them do some blood work up to check you Lipase and Amalayse levels, which if they are is a good indictor it is pancreatitis.  My prayers are with you.

      Thank you william65322,for replying back and to answer your questions'no I don't vomit,no pain n shoulder,and I barely eat maybe 1 CE a day sometimes 2ce..its kinda went away but still itchy on the inside an when I go to scratch it it feels numb n the front an back n the same spots,weired..I am tired but I think that's due to anemia. and I am go in to the Dr soon to rule out what I can rule out..I also felt tingleing in my left side of face last night about 20 mins,but went away.I do have trouble go in to the bathroom maybe 3x a month maybe that's it ..idk...I am depressed though an badly stressed maybe that has somt to do with i..

    Hi I've been having pains like this plus other symptoms for 6 years now and every test says my pancreas is fine so I'd try not to worry. I've just been told mine is ibs as docs given up! Seems to be lots of things that has upper left pain and also lots that doesn't seem to get diagnosed as anything!

    Get some tests done just to rule anything serious out
