Left sided pain - still no diagnosis so fed up

Hi there - I have posted before about this. I've had left sided abdominal pain since June last year and have been around all consultants. I've now had a routine endocscopy as I gave barrets oesophagis so I have one every two years and he biopsied me for celiac - I previously had a negative blood test. I Also have low ferritin and I've had a colonoscopy which showed nothing. I just feel that if the biopsies come back negative I'm just gong to be like this forever - my gp is fed up with me I can tell . I get frequent headaches and I've had heartburn since I as a child - I also had intermittent enlarged thyroid that they have said is due to antibodies. I know it's stupid but I want a positive diagnosis so I can start to fix myself. What have others experienced in terms of abdominal pain? Mine is lower left and under my ribs - when bad my whole abdominal area . Thanks you

I know it's difficult, but you need to wait and see what the biopsies reveal. Although having said that, my ferretin levels were also very low.  I also had a bad pain On my left hand side, and it continued for a while after I'd given up eating gluten (until my gut was properly healed). As well as a lot of other symptoms, but everyone is different.

Hang on in there, it won't be too long before you get your results.

I do understand the desire to get a diagnosis (I don't have one) and the frustrations involved. But have you yet tried a strict gluten free diet to see if it helps? I know you'll have to continue with gluten while you're being tested but I guess if you don't get anywhere with the tests, it could be your next option? That's what I did after a frustrating year and getting nowhere with the GPs and within a month many of my symptoms had gone. I'm still not 100% but compared to this time last year, I feel like a different person.

Hi ! Yes I'm considering this defiantly if the doctors get nowhere - I went gluten free after Xmas for a week and felt significantly better.
