Left testicle discomfort - how long should I wait for an improvement

Hello I know that there is a lot of discussion around this topic, I don't want to panic and go to the GP but am concerned. About 3 weeks ago I got discomfort in my left testicle, I regularly self check for lumps changes etc. I thought perhaps underwear wasn't offering enough support . The discomfort continued into the next day but then disappeared. The same symptoms have reappeared for the last two days, along with discomfort in the abdominal area, however I have ongoing stomach problems and have put it down to that. I have no pain or discolouring when passing water.Should I wait a few days and see if it goes again or should I see the GP. Would appreciate advice please.

    Hi there,

I'm no medical expert by a longshot and this question may be a bit personal but have you been sexually active recently? Because by the sounds of things it could be Epididymitis, inflammation of the tube that carries semen from you testes. You should still get this checked however because the cause could be any number of things. I would suggest an emergency appointment with GP to get seen as quickly as possible and get this pain sorted swiftly. Any questions feel free to ask but in the meantime good luck

Thanks for your reply I haven't been sexually active so it's definitely not that. But I won't let the discomfort continue without taking action.
