Left testicle pain

Hi, i got an injury in my left testicle about 6 years ago. GP gave me anti-biotics for one week and i got better. But after this incident it started to hurt whenever i ejaculate (i have a very active sexual life), the pain goes into my left thigh as well. Upon visiting urologist he ordered below tests.

  1. Complete blood count - turned out to be normal
  2. Renal Function test - turned out to be normal
  3. Uric Acid - turned out to be higher than normal i.e., 7.4
  4. Urine analysis (complete examination) - turned out to be normal
  5. Scrotal ultrasound - turned out to be normal (no varicocele, no hydrocele, normal in size and shape, normal surface)

Upon checking the reports Urologist gave me anti-inflammatory drugs and a pain killer. However, the pain is still here with only little improvement, it's been 3 days i am taking those drugs. Kindly help me out on what it can be as it is becoming annoying for me.

it sounds like you have chronic epididymitis, if its chronic , there is no way to fix this but some treatment helps to treat the pain...check with your doctor, have an ultrasound or Scan.

Forgot to mention, Ultrasound also said i don't have epididmmytis, in conclusion they wrote "normal doppler study". Can there be anything alarming behind the scenes?

i think Doppler ruled out testicular varicocele, i still think epididymitis , cuz the injury could cause epididymitis

Hi Rob, I have the same condition as yourself. I was worried I had testicular cancer. Blood tests, urine sample and ultrasound came back all clear. Saw urologist yesterday and after examination he confirmed I have Epididmmytis. My GP prescribed Amitriptyline 25mg which I take twice daily. With me it's a dull ache that comes and goes.

Urologist told me it will wear away over time.
