Left upper body discomfort, after exercise, that ISN’T cardiac related?

not sure if i will get anywhere here, but i would love some reassurance/info/things to bring up next doctor visit.

I'm 32, 6'2", 140 lbs, so tall skinny and pretty fair skinned. Not overly "fit" as i suspect i have some kind of autonomic dysfunction (re: POTS, panic attacks, ectopic/PVC beats), but im working on it.

this afternoon, i was exercising on the recumbent bike like i do twice a week, and normally i fall victim to increased anxiety/panic after exercising (they say to keep exercising as it's supposed to have an anti-anxiety effect, but I guess im still waiting for that part), but today was a bit different. about an hour following said exercise, I began feeling some "discomfort" on the left side of my body. I'll paste the notes i made describing it here:

April 12, 2022 - exercised on the recumbent bike at 3:45 pm, 9 minute interval, 20 seconds high, 2 minutes low. Felt fine during it other than a typical shortness of breath. Then all of the rest of that afternoon, inside of left (fore)arm, left shoulder blade, left back neck, left chest and left lower jaw “discomfort”. I would have described it as a pinched nerve, I was trying to stretch my arm, clench my left hand, nothing seemed to help. Then after about 2 hours or more sitting/laying it all went away except for a bit of a lingering lower left jaw and left shoulder blade “ache”, but very minor. no numbness or tingling, the discomfort would come and go every few seconds? I can’t remember if it all started DURING exercise or not, but definitely after it.

So it's not like it came on immediately while exercising and then went away immediately after stopping, it was more of a gradual onset and offset. they say that's likely not cardiac related, but the location of the discomfort is sure suspect.

Now, over the last year or so, Ive had EKG's, an echocardiogram, 2 stress tests, 24 hour holter, a chest xray, an abdominal CT scan, and lots of troponin and other blood work, there's nothing wrong with me (well, other than the panic attacks, which i suspect have something to do with my thyroid as my TSH levels were quite low a few months ago but have since returned to normal, but i digress).

if whoever has some good input reads this, what could i have been experiencing after this exercise? I have lost count of how many ER visits i've made so the "you should have gone to the ER right away" answer would have been useless as they wouldnt have found anything wrong. my blood oxygen was fine, my self done EKG was fine, BP was fine, just this nerve like discomfort down the left arm, around the left chest/shoulder area and into the lower left jaw. here are my best guesses:

  1. Heightened nerve activity due to the adrenaline induced anxiety increase, which just happens to be on the left side of my body. the nerves spider out from the chest, so could be related to that

  2. pinched nerve in the neck

  3. "coat hanger" pain, re neck, shoulder blade ache (which is believed to be caused by lack of oxygen in those areas. heart related?)

those are my best guesses. I apologize for the long post, but i wanted to be thorough. if i seem like someone who's "read the textbook on their own condition", you'd literally be right, but its difficult finding answers on the "benign" reasons for this stuff, if you're not actually dying from anything. Hoping someone who shares my experiences can give me some pointers on other possibilities as i've had quite the cardiac workup and all seems good, but the left sided grief (particularly the lower left jaw ache which is new for me), that brought on following exercise and went away with rest always seems suspect. here's what i DON'T think it is related to:

  1. asthma
  2. costochondritis
  3. heart attack
  4. gerd
  5. injury of a rib or the left arm
  6. all of the other typical "alternatives"
