Leg Alopecia

Hi there, I have just been diagnosed with Leg Alopecia, loss of hairs on both legs below the knee at front and outsides of legs.

I'm in my mid 40's, 6ft tall, slim build, weigh 175lbs, don't smoke and like to eat healthy, so what could be causing my leg alopecia?

Anyone else suffer from this?

its probably your hormones. I have been diagnosed with alopecia areata on my head, right next to my crow. I started to loose my hair in February & now have a substantial completley round bald patch. It looks shocking to look at, but because of where it is I dont see it. It actually doesnt bother me at all. My GP suggested that it was all hormonal & that it would grow back within a year. She said that women are much more likely to get it through our lives due to the amount of hormonal shifts we have in our bodies (periods, having babies, menopause) Did your doctor suggest any reason for your hair loss on your legs?
