Leg and foot pain

Posted , 7 users are following.

I am having a nightmare of a week pain everywhere but my legs and feet are really painful especially my ankles.  I just wondered if anyone else gets these symptoms.  Also my mind can't seem to understand the simpliest of instructions eg.  putting the handle on my mothers new battery carpet sweeper.  Have to be honest had a bit of a panic attack after that one.  It seems so ridculous that for someone like me who has always been able to tackle most DIY things can't even cope with assembling a simple handle.  I would be so grateful to hear if any one else has these problems.

Yup, I get the pain mostly in my shoulder blades...legs and hips...ankles too.  I also get restless leg at night like the other poster..and the "brain fog" with simple instructions or tasks.  your not alone.

Thank you Missy2 for your reply.  The pain is bad enough but like you the Brain Fog is a nightmare.  I went shopping during the week and just stood in the isle my shooping list in front of me and still couldn't think what I need to pick up.

I'd agree the brain fog is my worst symptom, you just want to shake your head and hopes that does something, but no, I walk about like a zombie most days than not 😪😡

The positive thing is you CAN go shopping. When I drink I am incapable of leaving the bottle...it doesn't matter what is going on....and I don't eat...so no need for market.

But today hung over...I would do exactly what you do...I do that sober all the time...LIST in HAND and I'm still lost and confused.

Hi Sue. I'm Zoe. Have had FMS and CFS around 14 yrs now.

Yes......The fog...The Fibro - fog when ur brain turns to mush. Can't move thoughts forwards or forget what ur saying halfway through or just too tired to talk or even trying to recall a word that uve used many times just on the tip of the tongue.

I could go on but I'm sure that will click with you.

Feet ankles toes legs knees groin etc I'm afraid yes yes it is part of FMS. In my experience it can affect any body part. I'm sorry to say.

I hope this helps u to feel u r not alone with those symptoms.

I send my love to u.

Hi Zoe Thank you for replying I am sorry it is not nice for you to be getting all these horrible symptoms but for me it helps to know I am not alone.  I get so frustrated as I so need to be fitter to help care for my 88year Mum but sometimes it is almost impossible.  My husband is such a wonderful help but he has his own health problems to cope with.  Sending gentle hugs to you.

No matter how bad I feel I still try and do housework, laundry etc but don't push yourself because the next day can be your punishment, how ironic.

Hi Trisha I have learnt that to my cost.  It really pulls you down does't it. You have a reasonable day give yourself a

pat on the back and wham the next day knocks you for six.   Take care    xxx

That's me. I get so frustrated with the "fog". It has taken over the thing I loved most in work. (computer work. just can't remember the sequences and codes like need to)

My knees, ankles, nearly all my back, sides, wrist, even tail bone aches or hurts. Feels like nearly every week the chiropractor is having to put a rib back in.

Hi katishma reading how you are feeling is like reading a description of myself.  It's hard isn't it. I am trying to tidy my elderly mother's garden, she is 88, I dig a patch about 20" square and I am wrecked for days. I feel awful and tell her I will get it done along with my husband who has crippling pain in his wrists but it will take time. She finds it difficult to understand as I have always done her gardening and my own it makes me feel useless and very sad.

I am sorry you are suffering like this take care.

Hi Sian it certainly sounds like fibro.  It is like having a really bad toothache in your legs and sometimes my feet feel as if I have broken some bones.  I also find it very difficult to stand still eg  supermarket checkout I am on the move all the time. I hope they see you soon take care xxxx

Hi Sue... It is a common thing for fibro sufferers to have painful Legs, ankles, feet etc..   just the same for arms, neck, hands and fingers etc...   Can even cause swelling...   Bit of a dam nusiance around!!    Don't fret it, just go with it and learn to adjust.  As for the memory and brain fog, yes again, a most common issue for us sufferers.   Again don't sweat it, just roll with it and learn to adapt.  It's no use stressing it, as stress just makes all the symptoms a dam sight worse...

    Cyber Hugs.... take care...x

Hi Deb, feel as if I am talking to my daughter same name, anyway thank you for replying.  I can relate to all those symptoms from head to toe.  At the moment I can't sit for long because a chair makes my legs ache even more because it is pressing against them.  I agree about the stress I have had a lot of that over the last 2 years and everytime I feel worse.  Take care  x
