leg driving me nuts!

Hi I was diagnosed with fibro a few months ago but not really told much about it. I read all I could on the net but they give only most common symptoms. I have been having a problem with my left leg. During the day there is very little pain in it but every night I wake up and it is stiff and very painful. It also feels very very heavy. I am afraid to move it as it causes even more pain but I have to so I get out of bed and hobble about till it comes back to normal. This happens nearly every night but more so if I have been out walking. Has anyone else had this problem or is it nothing to do with fibro and something else I have developed. I hope not cos I have enough problems.

Keep smiling all  (hard as it is sometimes )

i have had to search for years for alternative choices as due to my other condition of Aspergers syndrome, i am very sensistive to alot of things including medication even some natrual remedies have to be halved , thats why i prefer topical meds applied thru skin like magneisum

Hi, I had exactly the same symptoms in left leg. the pain was very intense. I couldnt walk without help, my leg would stiffen and tighten with every step. went to GP about 3 days later. They did an MRI and I had a DVT(blood clot). Possibly due to taking birth control pills(was taking to regulate cycle not for pregnancy as im too old for that). I also have leg pain at night due to fibro but not as bad as youre describing. I dont mean to scare you. Its just something to watch for. Try taking a baby aspirin it will thin your blood (i have to take one every day as im at risk for more clots) if it helps ease pain then you will know..my very best to you! I will try to keep smiling, thanks!smile
