leg pain-blood clot?

recently i have been getting bubbling/fluttering feeling in my right calf when i am sitting down, almost a gurgling feeling. its not really pain its just uncomfortable. i also sometimes get tingling all up and down my leg with it but not all the time. i have had these symptoms before but a few years ago and they died down eventually. however this sensation has been everyday for nearly two weeks now but not all day. i mentioned it to my doctor but they said its probably more a neuro problem, but my main fear is blood clots. (i have really bad health anxiety about blood clots). i am a few pounds overweight for my height and am on the progesteon only mini pill (i was on the combined years ago but became obssessed with the risk of blood clots so came off it) but apart from that i am relatively healthy 22 year old.( i do have ongoing undiagonosed stomach problems but its looking like ibs) if it were a blood clot would i have a lot more severe pain? is there any tests i can do? i am in and out of the doctors so much recently with new symtoms that i think they are not taking me as seriously.

lHi Emma, I had a DVT in December, it went from back of knee up to groin, my leg was really hot and swollen, with a bright red mark up the leg, it felt like a bunch of small cocktail sausages going up leg, you could feel and see them. My leg felt like lead I could hardly move and if I touched the area it was agony. I can only say what mine felt like but it was certainly not little flutterings, maybe keep moving your feet about when sitting and see if this helps, if you have a small pea like swollen red area it may be phlebitis, I have had a couple of them but again it is the heat that is really noticeable. Health anxiety and googling are a real problem for me as well, I also have IBS and Acid Reflux which cause all sorts of symptoms and like you my GP's are fed up with me. If you leg feels hot, looks swollen and red and you can press an area that causes pain, then go back to GP, but flutterings are not to my knowledge a symptom. Take care and try to enjoy life.

Hi, Emma. What you're describing sounds very familiar. I am currently on warfarin and was diagnosed less than a week ago with DVT (caused by breaking my fibula). Initially, all I had was pain and the sensation that there was something inside me leg, but now I get those fluttery/gurgly feelings pretty much constantly. I'm assuming mine are caused by the DVT, so I guess it's possible that yours are too?
For what it's worth, I didn't go in for several days because I didn't have any of the "typical" symptoms. No redness, no lumps... I would recommend getting it checked out, if it doesn't improve. Better to be safe than sorry!
