Leg swelling after cortisone shots

Got a shot Monday in my heel for heel spur and plantar fasciitis. The shot area is very tender. Yesterday I noticed my calf is sore and today calf is swollen. Actually my whole leg is swollen. Anyone ever experience this after shot?

    I would worry about a DVT (blood clot in your leg) which can be very serious.  You better see your doctor ASAP.

      Thank you for your reply. It has gone down tremendously this morning and the pain in my calf is gone. I am still going to check in with the Doc to be on the safe side. I had a injection 3 months ago but everything was fine. This time around was very different and painful. Don't get me wrong last time hurt just not this much for some reason. And my leg didn't swell.

      Good luck to you.  And if you have any symptoms related to breathing (pain with breathing, shortness of breath), go right to the emergency room.
