Leg swelling and pain 6 week out from bunion surgery

Hi, I'm six weeks out from my bunion surgery. Doc says everything looks good and that i can pretty much do whatever as long as I'm not putting too much strain on the bone that is still healing. Although the mobility of my to joint is not coming back like I thought it would I'm not as concerned about that as I am the swelling and calf pain that I'm getting. My calf hurts like I've ran a marathon but I'm doing the same things as I've been doing for the past two weeks. There isn't any heat or redness but I'm still a bit concerned that it could be a clot. I was cooped up in a car last weekend on a trip and this weekend on another. I tried getting out every couple of hours to move.... what do you all think?

    Hello,

I had calf and ankle pain for almost a month after I started walking...you need to stretch and maybe go for some physiotherapy? It definitely helped me!! you'll need to do certain exercises but it's not uncommon to have this pain. Get well soon!

I have been trying to convince my surgeon to let me go to PT but he just keeps telling me to exercise my toe. I think I will call and ask them for a referral.
