lengthening crutches

Hi I am 10 days post op LTHR. Just been for my second walk of the day, done 110 yards walking each time besides walking round the house. But ....this afternoon I have had to ask for my crutches to be lengthened as I had begun stooping. This is the second time since my op that this has been done. Think it's because I am now walking more upright than I was pre-op as photos suggest smile  just wondered if anyone else had found the same thing?

Bless you stoopy hippies I did not have that issue. Pleased to say I did not need mine shortened. Yes you are wondering!!!! Osteoporosis has already claimed 2 inches of my 5 ft 2 inches. Should have had both hips done and asked for an extended femur

Glad you are all on the up side xx

your right Maggie so good to stand up tall, I didn't realise just how bad I was. My partner showed me a video of me in March and the way I was walking was unbelievable.

Hi Ian I hope you don't have to wait to long. My consultant made me wait 14 weeks between mine, said we had to 'be safe' It has certainly be worth the wait.!
