lens cost and just saw crystalens doesnt cost extra for toric?

Hello, My office just called to confirm prices for my cataract surgery with toric lens at additional $2000. Then there is another addition of $337 for facility and anesthesia and who knows what . This is what my secondary after medicare is will charge since it seems I have a $1300 deductible I never knew. My secondary is Human at thousands a year so this is a surprise.
I just read that conventional lens called crystalens doesnt charge extra for toric (they call it trulign)? Has anyone ever used this? I am going ahead with my original choice but was wondering about 2nd eye. The clinic I am going to uses Bausch and Lomb and not this Crystalens.

no I pay several thousand for Humana open access.

If by "cyrstalens" you mean this IOL then I personally would not use it!
Here is a quote from a surgeon...

no its not an upsell . Its actually no cost but it wont work for me since im near sighted and wish to remain so with adtigmatism repaired.
The lens i described is both for astigmatism and non adtigmatism but only corrects far sightedness . there is no difference in charge whether its toric or not Thats a good deal

Hi Ara:)
The Crystalens has fallen out of favor with surgeons because many patients aren't able to move the adjusting haptics on them, which was their mian mechanism and selling point. Also, some patients had then get stuck in a backward position, requiring lens removal. (Haptics are the side parts of the IOL which normally keep the lens in place in the eye.)
My first surgeon switched from Crystalens to Symfony, even tho he had been a big Bausch & Lomb and Crystalens guy. As his scheduler said to me, "Everyone uses Symfony now.")
Of course, that was over a year ago and new lenses come up. But as far as I know, Symfony is still the preferred EDOF lens here in Southern California.
