LESS vivid/clear dream lately

The past few weeks I've noticed I've had less and less vivid, or all around just more difficult to remember dreams. I used to be able to tell my family/friends all of the crazy, weird dreams I had that I found so amusing in great detail, and I'm struggling to remember them some nights now. It's giving me this serious sleep anxiety where sleep sounds like just "nothingness" so I'm scared to go to sleep sometimes.
I also get extreme insomnia (for me, at least) where I'm sleeping 6 hours or less each night during the work week. On weekends I'll absolutely crash sleeping up to 12 hours, occasionally until the afternoon. I've had a lot of stress and changes at work and just haven't really done much lately with COVID still being an issue where I am, so I feel like it all may be connected to anxiety/depression.
The dreams thing freaks me out most because I've also been having more brain fog in general during the day. Has anyone had their daytime brain fog affect their dreams at all?

can you listen to something peaceful on your ear phones. its always takes my mind from chatting with myself and listening to something distracting to help put me to sleep. insomnia is horrible but this is one way to beat it.

The white noise of the air conditioning unit is gone since we got it fixed, I know that used to help lull me to sleep. I'll have to see if I can find some music or a white noise machine or something.
