Let me be the one to tell you ITS UGLY... First outbreak... I’m a sex worker...

I’m 25 years old had an amazing year traveling around the world in 2017... come into 2018 with first hsv outbreak which I’m still waiting for results as i just got tested yesterday but my tests for strep throat came back positive so i started antibiotics for my strep throat when a few days later i had to get std tested and immediately was given anti virals. I became immediately worried after 2 blisters on my hairline and swollen pelvic lymph nodes that later became 6 blisters, 3 are on my inner lips and 1 is on one of my Bartholins glands... it looks very ugly especially one which i originally wanted to post pictures for people to see as I am posting this for other women to relate to if they’re in denial to go see a dr like i was (and scared) ... but idk how to post pics on here if anyone can explain it to me I’ll be happy to share but it’s very disturbing. The s****y part is I’m a young girl in college about to graduate and I’ve been a sex worker to get by... I’m in love with someone who i want to marry and I’ve had to tell him that i got herpes and he is devastated ... he doesn’t want to leave me but i think he should run for the hills while it’s not too late as i hope he doesn’t ever get his first outbreak i hope he got lucky.. i can’t even pay my rent tomorrow because i can’t work and I’ve run out of money to buy weed which has been getting me through this without killing myself. I also have to go back to school as of tomorrow and it’s just been the worst year so far for me

    Omg please post whenever you get your results.... I was in the same exact situation except I'm male. My pelvic start hurting real bad and I got about 5 lesions on my penis. I went to the Dr today and was told I have genital herpes without a blood test being done . Please keep me updated. Good luck

      Thanks for the good luck!! I will update you when the doctor calls me (whenever that is hopefully soon!!) My test was Monday, and today is Wednesday... and i still have not got a call back... I’d like to think that no news is good news but i have blisters on my vagina lips and I’ve been taking the antivirals since Monday and the blisters are still active. I can’t even pay my rent because I’m a sex worker and i can’t do my job so I’m worried about my means of living. In hopes of speeding up the healing of the blisters, i have been putting hydrogen peroxide vol 10 from the pharmacy on them, does not hurt at all, which is why I’m going to go back to pharmacy and buy something stronger like witch hazel as I’ve been reading that gives it the burning cleaning sensation of it being disinfected that I’m aiming (as they say no pain no gain) when i take salt baths it doesn’t utterly hurt either, however i see an improvement in healing after every salt bath. I wish i knew how long until the appearance will go away! Will it ever ?!

      You're right now news is definitely good news but as crazy as it sounds do you think it could be syphilis?

      So it’s been a full week since i got tested and i never got a call with my results. I finish my antivirals and am feeling a lot better than i was last week. I called the clinic and they told me if i haven’t got a call it’s because my test was not positive. I deffinetly had an outbreak and so I’m going back to the clinic in person to find out what my test results really are. I’m half relieved hoping it came out negative, half worried that i have hsv and the swabs some how didn’t pick up the virus? Im also going to ask for a syphilis blood test. I’ll keep you updated

      So i got the phone call while driving to the clinic for my results that took over a week to come in and my swabs came back positive for hsv 1

      Hsv 1 that's not tooooo bad i don't think I'm glad it's nothing real serious

      Yeah thanks! I’m slowly getting over it now that the outbreak is gone.

      I had a swab done on my lesions and it came back negative but I really don't think that's accurate

    Can anyone tell me about the itching and crawling sensation? I'm pretty sure I'm healing. It's been about 2 weeks of my first outbreak. Now I'm getting random pains that shoot through my vaginal area. I'm itchy in the anal and vaginal area and I get these uncomfortable crawling feeling as well. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal? What can I do to stop it?

      So it’s been about two weeks since my first breakout and I am now getting the sensation of itching on my labia that I’ve been reading people had experienced too. I guess this is normal and to not itch it as that could make blisters. I’m going to try tea tree oil as I’ve read from other patients on here. I’ll let y know

    after my first breakout i havent had another knockonwood i keep my medication close by at all times just in case edpecially when i travel my boyfrjend never left me and fcks me still without a condom hes never had an outbreak and ive told other guys they have still been willing to f**k me so hope this gives people some hope
