Let's discuss some of the most annoying symptoms of anxiety we can experience

I have had much scarier symptoms in the past but these are some annoying ones that make very irritable.

  • Whenever I go for exercise that involves running, I can feel my face jiggle and jaw bounce around. Mind you, I'm kinda underweight but I'm very hyper-aware of bodily function and that makes me anxious.
  • My second one is breathing through the nose, it feels congested but you can definitely tell that air flow is there and that isn't a problem. It just feels off-putting that I can feel the air travelling down my nasal passages.
  • My third one is a reason one. I'm constantly aware of my uvula at the back of my throat, causing me to cough or gargle salt water to give me a moment of peace.
  • Last one that I will mention (might change later) that this sensation of a lump in your throat. And I know its caused from anxiety but it doesn't stop me from stressing.

What are your thoughts everyone? I would like to know.

you are hyper aware of normal body functions. You will drive yourself crazy if you don’t divert your attention on to something else. Everything you mentioned is normal. be glad and grateful that you can feel the air going through your nostrils

everybody’s body jiggles when they run. all people have some amount of fat on their body otherwise we would not survive.

you should be celebrating all of those things instead of them making you anxious. The lump in the throat is just from anxiety.

one Way to take the focus off of your body is to do other things such as help somebody else, get involved in something. The more I sit around the more I think and then I get anxious. That is so self-defeating and I finally was able to stop it.

comparing your symptoms with other people’s symptoms does nothing for you. It just perpetuates the cycle of symptoms and fear.

you need to take your own steps to help yourself. Speaking with a counselor can be very helpful. Get busy,

wake up every morning with a grateful attitude. you have a normal healthy functioning body.

      my scariest anxiety symptoms

      DEJA VU/FLASHBACKS

      WEIRD PANIC HOT FLASHES

      WEIRD VISION DREAMLIKE FEELINGS

TINGLING ON LEFT SIDE OF HEAD ABOVE EAR

yep. all of those symptoms are related to anxiety and stress. I have had every single one of them and still do at times.

you wouldn’t believe how many people get those. Keep in mind that it’s not the symptoms that are the problem it’s the unmanaged anxiety that causes the symptoms.

you need to completely relax your mind as much as possible to reduce symptoms.

those symptoms do not scare me like they used to. Because I know that they cant hurt me . i’ve had them on and off for many years.

the weird vision dreamlike feeling is simply your brain’s way of blocking things out to protect you from stress . not harmful.

anxiety causes tingling anywhere on the body.

panic Hot flashes is caused by the adrenaline your brain sends out when you’re anxious . again, not harmful.

deja vu flashbacks are very common with anxiety. The brain rapid fires with anxiety and it brings memories up,, deja vu feelings. etc.

relax, slow down, youll be ok. ❤

    Hi,

    Worst symptoms I experience:

    • Head pressure and dizziness, like a fog that slowly builds in the head to near unbearable levels.
    • Dizziness - with the above comes a feeling of dizziness and vertigo, the ground feels like walking on sponges
    • Adrenaline rushes through the head - like a sudden 'whoosh' - very disturbing.

I find most working days are like climbing up a mountain - and am relieved just to get home without passing out. Had all test etc, found nothing wrong physically - sick of it and no medication seems to have any effect whatsoever.

I seriously relate to this. The adrenaline "whoosh" feeling happens to me too... especially when I am trying to sleep

Well let's see. At about 10 years old I was practically incapable of eating in a cafeteria in front of strangers . I felt like other children were looking at me ,even though they weren't, and that food might squirt or leak out of the side of my mouth even though I was just eating a bologna sandwich washed down with a juice. I forgot how to eat because of the anxiety and started leaking juice and bit my lip.

Then in high school , I never approached girls, too shy (anxiety).

I had to take the subway for 4 stops to get to school. I was standing in a crowded subway toe to toe with strangers who I imagined were reading my thoughts or something and had to get off after the first stop and walk 1.5 miles to get to school almost late.

52 yrs old , I suffered panic attacks that included heart pounding ,dry mouth, nonstop talking and total loss of concentration and memory. I would forget my credit card ,then my wallet ,then my cell phone not just at home but at stores ! It was as if I struggled just to function . I was lost and at the brink of tears . I only carried on living for my 2 sons and my mother. My son helped me through it.

Lately I've notice I don't get visitors so I started buying things (45 saxophones) and electronics from China (250 flashlights) as well as other things. I have made it a reason for the lack of visitors ... too crowded.

I'm hoarding to compensate for being alone. Don't get me wrong,

I raised my 2 sons from 3yrs and 8yrs alone until they moved on and never enjoyed free time for myself, so when the 2nd moved out , I was alone for the first time in my life. I was almost frightened. But after 1 year I found I liked my life and new freedoms.

I'm still keeping my saxophones and electronics as investments and possible donations.

Anxiety can really bend us and stretch our limits but if we survive it , we are stronger for it and we can help others go through it.

I know my weaknesses and live on the edge of normal and insanity but like I said ...I could donate saxophones to schools and flash lights to disaster relief . I'm ok with that.

My life would be as complicated but not as challenging either.
