Leukocytes in urine always, no culture, please advise?

Hi everyone, I am a 40 year old female. In the past I used to suffer from UTI's, but recently not anymore. I have dipsticks to check and I have been noticing that leukocytes are always present ++ or +++, but never nitrit and when I bring my urine in, the cultures are always negative. I do pee a lot and when I drink much coffee or alcohol and have stress it sometimes hurts a bit to pee (not the same as with an UTI but still). My question is could this be IC, but more importantly does anyone else also has leukocytes without a culture and could IC create this? Please let me know I am not the only one 😦 ps doctors appointment next week again (have been under treatment with an urologist 5 years ago already at the time for frequent UTI's). Love Monique
