I have posted this on two other forums as I'm not really sure what it would come under, so apologies if you have already seen it somewhere else.
Is anyone suffering or has suffered from levator ani syndrome. If so can you explain your symptoms please?

Hi there i have had this for ten years . sitting for periods longer than about ten minutes is always really painful . Surgeon said he only sees about 4 cases a year like me and that there is really no cure . He said to try pelvic physio which i did with no luck. It feels like i have a thorn up my butt whenever i am sitting but pain goes away as soon as i stand up.

yes i do but lasts about an hour . The thing i hate most is the pain with sitting . Even a small thing like taking the grandkids to a movie is hell . Have you got any suggestions of things to try? Anything that has helped you?
