I didn't have anything like that. Could it perhaps be early signs of peri menopause and not actually connected to thyroid?

Yes I'm exactly the same and the doc keeps telling me that I must have been having problems before starting the meds but I never. I'm 36 and started on 100 levo 12 months ago. Before starting it my periods were perfect. Every 28 days spot on, slight bloat, few days before and tender breasts. No problems in between. Started meds and my period was every 21 days with severe mood swings around ovulation. But I knew I needed to let my system adjust to the meds. Anyway my periods are now every 25-28 days apart, always different. I now have spotting about 4-5 days before period starts. The feeling of lower stomach heaviness you get during period and backache and moodiness carries on for about a 5 days after my period finishes. I now get terrible mood swings, backache and sire breasts around ovulation. Doc and endo have done no further tests even though I have voiced my concerns and told them I'm waiting to start trying for a baby. Fed up big time now

Hi I have had big problems I am 50 have been going bk n to to see the gp and got the usual "your of that age". I had various other problems and self referred myself privately to see an endo. Turns out I have Hashimotos Disease and Fibromyalgia. My levo dose of T4 has been reduced from 175mg to 75mg and T3 20mg has been introduced only been taking for 6 weeks but the difference is incredible. Good luck x

Hi Kalishia96085 when I first began taking levothyroxine my hormones were all over the place. The last thing to settle was my periods. I'm prescribed 150mg and began taking them at night time in April, I've also began taking a supplement of magnesium once a day in the mornings and
Agnus Cactus. The AC I take for 14 days, first one from the first day I come on. Obviously speak to your GP and/or research it first but not only has it regulated my periods it has stopped migraine I would get every month.
