Lexapro 12 weeks still anxious!???

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi!

Im on lexapro since 12 weeks in total.

started at 10mg for 4-5 weeks , 12,5mg for 10 days and 15mg since december 20 (so around 5 weeks).

I am better then when I started with anxiety and depression cause it was really intense but since a week, its like if I feel more anxious in my body. A bit shaky , dizxy and tired.

My mood is a little low also cause I would really like the anxiety to be over.

I dont know if its still normal? Did some of you took longer to see there anxiety subside???

Thanks

Hi Lolita, Did you discuss it with your doctor? I have tried in the past twice with Lexapro to fight with an undesirable thought which caused me anxiety but I could not...but yes it did hellp me within 4 months with general anxiety or dipression. I mean wirh the dose of 15mg. So you have to talk with your doctor...Good luck!!

I didnt discuss it directly but Im in a group therapy and the therapists report everything to the doctor.

So you say that lex was helping you but only after 4 months, is that right?

In fact, from the first month, it gave me motivation to be active all the time, in the third month I had noticed that it helped gradually with panic attacks but never felt the serenity I asked from such type medecines ... the secret is to be busy most of the time so you have not the time to think negatively.... anyone of us is different so I wish you good luck and do not think so much!

I had that for 4 or 5 weeks. I would at least call the doctor if its been 12 weeks!
