Lexapro

Hi, last Thursday my doctor prescribed me Lexapro of “escitalopram” and I’m only on 10mg. Today, after lunch, I got unusually tired and shaky. I felt like I had “heavy shoulders.” I felt like I was stressed or something like that. I couldn’t even finish my lunch because I felt so bad. Are these the side effects to Lexapro? Anyone else experience these? I’ve only been taking them for 3 days.

I’ve taken lexapro before and didn’t have any side effects. Are you suffering from anxiety? The shakiness can be you nerves and anxiety.

Yes I suffer from health anxiety. I did research online and I’m not the only one who experienced this fortunately.

Omg finally!!! Someone who I can relate to! I to have health anxiety, carcinophobia to be exact. I’ve been fine since I started taking Lexapro and today I just now started to have really bad side effects. I just lay around in bed all day, constantly moving my feet or something. Earlier I was so bad that I felt weak and I had tremors and shaking everywhere. I am a lot better now however. Good luck to you. I’m going to consult my doctor tomorrow about starting a smaller dose.

Have you had trouble passing bowels since you’ve taken Lexapro?

Omg this is so weird that you asked this , I’m actualky the opposite . My food is going straight through me . Not soft or anything , healthy bowel movements but very light brown almost like passing too fast and i am also thinking this pill must effect bowels . We can see how we go together , here if you need

I've been on lexapro for 8 months and it had s improved my life. I had the same issue so what I did was take a half for the first two weeks to let my body adjust, then after two weeks I took a regular dose. Give that a try. But it will help I promise!!
