Lexapro and weight gain?

Hi everyone smile

I'm sure this has been asked a few times, but has anyone experienced weight gain or bloating with lexapro. I have not changed any of my eating or working out habits, but feel constantly bloated since starting lexapro 5mg for 3 months.

I'm so curious if you guys had any similar experiences and if seemed to regulate itself over time. Thank you! xx

HI did you have treamberling when you started it at all, as I am on day 4 of 5 mg, also taking mitazapine 7.5 at night , also breasts seem to be getting bigger ?

Susan...yes it's just because your body is adjusting to the meds.. Now on the breast enlargement..I didn't have that.. But that's ok not everyone is going to have the same side effects.. And if u look at your cycle it may b that time of the month and it's just came at the same time that u have started your meds..just check and see .. If it's of concern call your Dr.. Take Care😊

Hi Erica, i have been on lexapro for almost 3 weeks now and i find at times i feel a little bloated as well and i just realized i'm having some issues with gas. When i feel like this i find a hot cup of tea and salt crackers help to settle my stomach and eases the bloating and especially the gas. I think weight gain is a positive sign if u ask me because when i feel sick or panicky i have zero appetite so i am happy once i feel hungry and inclined to eat as normal. But dont worry most people that i read reported slight weight gain , 2 to 5 lbs.
