Lexapro experiences

Posted , 3 users are following.

They put me on lexapro 4 days ago just to see if it would help some symptoms and it seems like it is making symptoms worse and not better to me. I was scared to take it in the first place but i was just seeing if any of you guys had any thoughts on it.

    Hi Josh,

You are feeling worse, maybe because of the side effects. I took a different antidepressant, and the first 2 weeks were horrible, more tired looked like I had a flu. And, I was very depressed.

After 4 weeks, I felt a little bit better, maybe 5%.

So, I don't know if you can hold on your medication for 2 or 3 weeks.

Josh, try the best to pass the first two weeks. Yes, I had more headaches, too. I felt I would die. That first two weeks, I worked half day.

I work twelve hour shifts on nights and days. I am not so sure it is the best idea for me to feel this way put here it can be very dangerous if you dont pay attention and if you had the same symptoms i am having you know how hard it is to function and stay alert to your surroundings

Josh, I understand you. You cannot work as normal with your problems. I worked a half day, but mostly just sit and did nothing. You can ask your doctor to change your medication if you want.

There is a gene test to tell what medications you don't have side effects. I think it costs about $200 - $300. And, insurance does not pay for it.

    Hi Josh:

I have been taking lexapro for a year and more now . I didn't experience terrible symptoms or side effects from it. Just that from the beginning , i had felt some lightheaded and nauseous for a few days . This drug works like a wonder for me. It helped with my depression and anxiety. Give some time for the drug to have full effects. Before I started taking lexapro, I had taken a prenetic tests to see if the drug was situable for me to take so you could consider that . Good luck .
