Lexapro to Cymbalta

Hi-I’m cross tapering Lexapro to Cymbalta. I was on 12.5 mg of lex and tapering to 10 mg for a week (on day five) then 5 mg for a week. At the same the time, I’m taking 20 mg of Cymbalta. I’m taking Cymbalta at night. I also take 25 mg of traz and .5 of Ativan for sleep. I woke up today super out of it and had bad headache. Also feel a bit jittery. Are these normal Starting side effects? Super nervous about switching meds.

    I’m going to give it another week or two then stopping if there’s no improvement. Feel emotionless and have no motivation so fingers crossed we both see an improvement. It’s been nice going through this with you

      What else would you get on?

      Yeah, I’m beyond frustrated. I had a terrible time sleeping last night, even taking 1 mg of Ativan. Ugh.

    I’ve suffered with sleep most my adult life but fortunately I’ve had no problems even at a low dose of mirtazapine, all I want to do is sleep

      Yeah. Me too! So I’ve been super jittery, like internal. I can’t tell if it’s anxiety or the meds??? Either way I feel like nothing is working. Shouldn’t feel this anxious at this point. Ya know??

      Yeah. Like an ok day a terrible day. I’m kinda over it. What other med would you try?

    I think I’ve exhausted all options of meds that would be suitable for me so would probably go back to mirtazapine, how about you ?

      i have no idea. ugh. this sucks. have you tried ssri's and they don't help? effexor?

      Ahhhh, didn’t realize you were in the UK 🇬🇧. Ugh, yah. Fingers crossed it gets better.

      maybe a little bit with mood, but not really with anxiety. my doc started me on a low dose of abilify yesterday--2 mg. i had a terrible nights sleep though, so now i am freaking. it's supposed to kickstart the cymbalta. i really hope it works! 

      when are you seeing your shrink?

    Never heard of abilify, waiting for my appointment to come through from psych, got my appointment mixed up with mind , mind is a place you can go for counselling and they help you with paperwork too if your in a mess which has really helped me in the past

      It’s like an add on if meds aren’t doing it or you can’t tomerate higher doses. Keep me updated!!

      ugh. yeah, i hear ya. i am still super jittery. i also had coffee which was prob a bad idea.
