Are you talking about HRT here? I presume you are because it's the HRT forum and if so progesterone can be obtained in a gel or cream and could possibly help with libido in menopausal women.

It is Tibolone another name for Livial. Tibolone is a synthetic steroid drug. Basically all these drugs are the same, just different names

We are lucky to have you on these posts Matron you are so knowledgeable - I love the livial - tried Kliogest twice over a couple of years but side effects of heavy bleeding were ghastly - 4 months in and seem to have settled into the synthetic version of hrt - no hot flushes or night sweats And my brain is functioning properly again - Yee hasmile

I pleased to hear you've found something that stops all the horrible symptoms of the menopause. I just couldn't live without HRT I'm afraid and why should we suffer when there's something out there that helps. It's not like in my mothers day when she had to just put up with it. We are living longer and a lot if women are having to work longer because of the change in pension age so all the more reason to feel well. I am working on a project encouraging GP's to basically tow the line and follow the NICE Guidelines.
