hi

I have recently been diagnosed with LP . My mum died a few weeks ago and spots starting appearing on me .my doc initially thought it was pittitis which is a skin problem also not as bad as LP

however when it got worse a biopsy confirmed I had LP and my doc said it probably was linked to an event . I think it is directly linked to my mums death as I was under a lot of stress at the time as she was in hospital for several weeks .

I probably was drinking too much after and not eating properly but since my diagnosis i have decided to get my life back in order I am in the middle of 9 day detox and taking aloe Vera drink and I have to say it has calmed down a lot not as itchy or angry looking and my energy levels are going back up . I will let you know how it is going in few days . Glad I found this site . I thought I was the only one with this condition

    Hello Linda

Really sorry to hear about your mum.  That's horrible.  My heart goes out to you.

I have LP, and it is tough!  I found that giving up sugar, gluton and wheat seems to help, but that is a massive step and hard to follow rigidly.  Stress is a trigger too, so your mum's death could have been just that.  I have to use a cream called CLOB which is a steroid but there are side effects.  I only use it twice a week now.  Where on your body is this condition?  Best regards. Jan

      Hi Jan

started led on my back which is covered with it some of my legs and arms

i am using am using lotriderm cream .

i will do my best with the no sugar and may switch also to no wheat or gluten if it helps

thanks . Good to talk to others who have it because no one else can understand what it feels like or how awful it makes you feel . On a brighter note I have sun holiday booked shortly and I am hoping that will also help

    Hi Linda

I think that you'll find that LP is incredibly widespread and takes a variety of forms with the common denominator being an incredible itchiness. There's quite a lot of good information mixed up amongst personal experiences and it's definitely worth reading through some of the older posts to see if there is anything that can help your particular problems.  All the best with your treatments.
