Lichen planus help needed

I have had LP on my penis head for about 10 months now. I have been given dernovate which sort of helps but sort of doesnt.

I have an appointment with a dermatologist in a few months and I am being hopeful with that.

However my problem is doing anything sexual is just a no no it just flares up when I try anything. and makes it painful.

Does anyone have any suggestions of anything that could help?

    Hello,

    I am new to this forum. I have not officially been diagnosed with LP. I have a drs appt. next week but every symptom and picture I have seen suggests LP. I too had the rash like lesions on my penis head and shaft. I read that using triamcinolone acetone (topical steroid cream) would help with symptoms. (I had the cream for another skin condition). I just couldn't wait for my Dr's appt so I applied the cream, it actually seems to be working. Though, I do have LP type sores on my ankles as well and the cream isn't working as well. Hopefully, when I see the Dr I will get a proper diagnosis and better treatment.

    Hi!

    I'm new too, so I don't know what works yet. The only things I've learned so far are what not to do, e.g. pee without vaseline! Sorry to hear you're struggling with it too sad
