Lichen Sclerosis and Essiac Tea

I found this information on another site and thought I would share it. Sounds promising. These are the remarks from a user in 2012:
"I had Lichen Sclerosus and was misdiagnosed for a year. I got it under control by steroid creams but it was not gone. For a reason I don't need to go into, I bought someone a detox liquid called Essaic Tonic Tea (nonalcohol) and they didn't want it. So not to waste my money, I used the whole bottle and was cured! I told my friend with Lupus and she takes it and it is making her feel better. It is a miracle the way this stuff works. Its all natural and won't hurt you. I don't sell it, you have to go to a natural health food store and buy the nonalcohol formula.
it is made from different plants. It is an old native American cure and people are claiming it shrinks tumors. Its so gently you can use it on your animals. Chemotheraphy patients are using it along with thier Chemo. It comes in all forms... Powder... Pills... Liquid... I prefer liquid... I have a hard time swallowing pills. I hope it works for others. It is wonderful not being itchy especially at night. I have some scaring on my wrists but all other scars have healed. If this doesn't cure others... than I have received a miracle from God. "
"I buy mine from a [local] health food store. It is also sold online by different people who sell it. Usually health food stores have it and it is in the detox section of the store. I purchase it for about $25 a bottle. I plan on taking this 3 times a year. Next year, I will buy a bottle in March, July and then in November. "

Hi Jacqueline, I was so excited about this information that I don't recall if white patches were gone, but it is easy enough to google Essiac Tea and see what you come up with. This info was on another forum. I am going to try it. Miracles do happen. These are the ingredients in the tea:
Essiac tea has also been noted for its potential in helping combat cancer because of the herbs in this drink, mainly:
Sheep sorrel — According to the book “A Field Guide to Medicinal Plants and Herbs of Eastern and Central North America,” this antioxidant-rich herb5 may assist with targeting cancer cells and lowering risk of cancer development.
Burdock root — Animal studies showed that burdock root has apoptotic effects on cancerous cells,7,8 and that a compound called benzaldehyde found in the root helped inhibit tumor prevention in animals.
Indian rhubarb root — It not only has anti-inflammatory properties,10 but its extract is said to have anticancer properties.
Slippery elm — This may aid in reducing inflammation,12 detoxifying the body,13 helping soothe respiratory infections and cutting through phlegm and mucus.
Let us know if you try this too.

Which version of Essiac did you use, please. There is the original by the Canadian nurse and another developed later by someone adding additional herbs. Thanks.

I appreciate you wanting to share this information, but there are so many details left out to make it completely credible. Anytime someone claims they were "cured" you really need to take a deep breath and think "is this substantiated", "is this reasonable", "is this really believable". I know everyone wants to believe there is a cure, and we know some have gone into long remissions, but really....."cured"? I think we all know anyone can claim anything, and it's super easy to make amazing claims on the internet, but if we approach highly unlikely claims with caution, we won't be so devastated and disappointed when they don't produce the same results for us. That said, I wish you a very long remission.

Hi DD, Believe me, I read this with much skepticism, but like everything I have tried that has been recommended, I try to remain hopeful that something will work to give relief and stop the progression at the very least. Like with everything everyone shares, I thought this was interesting and worth exploring. I'll try anything, something is bound to work. I don't believe that LS is curable, but manageable and possible remission, yes. I'll take that. I'll stay in touch. Thank you for your comment.

Welp I did my budget and will be lucky to get anything “extra” but I’ll try to get in a few extra hours this month & yes we can compare notes.
Liquid or pills. Whichever has best efficacy reports is what I’ll try.
I’ve been in the longest horrid flare! But I’m back to giving the borax a try. Sitz bath daily. I use less than most as I’m very sensitive to it it seems. But consistently daily and I’ll of course check in here with updates.
Hope you’re having some relief from the “flesh eating disease” stuff too Susan. Best to you 💜

Hi Pat, I know I'm crazy but I'm spending a lot of money experimenting, but I'll pay anything for relief. Paid over $1,000 alone for acupuncture! Anyway, I'm having a very strange flare up now and nothing is helping the burning. I didn't have burning before. Every day is a new experience. I'll keep in touch. Take care, ??

I remember you trying acupuncture without success and all that money. I live on a limited income so I have to be picky about what is the next thing. So far emu oil and Emuaid have been the only things that have ever soothed... but nothing has stopped the structural damages. Hoping borax can help. I’m not comfortable with drinking the solution but considering boron tablets.
What a nightmare this is. I pray for remission daily. For us all xoxo

Hi Pat, Are you switching off between borax and baking soda sitz baths. I'm only using baking soda. What exactly does this accomplish? Just soothing the burn or itch? Emuaid Max was working for the itch, but not anymore. I switch off with Aloe Vera. I try very hard not to use the Clob because of its long-term detrimental effects.
This video has encouraged me to try cannabis oil (Miracle in Medical Marijuana).

I'm seeing someone today about it.
Wish you well on this miserable mysterious journey. xo

Hi Susan. I actually use both now, every day I do a borax with baking soda sitz bath for 10-20 minutes. I’ve had to use clob lately daily for 😩 clitoral pain after the soak. I’ve been trying to kee it simple using the sitz, clob when needed and emu oil sometimes & always Emuaid. Just ordered another of those plus an Emuaid Max.
Hope you’re keeping your spirits up and something starts to work well soon!
There is a Facebook page I’m following that might be of help https://m.facebook.com/groups/159110331571638
Hoping they let me share the link. xo

In a few days I am trying a special cannabis formula to apply and ingest. Look at this video:

Well video wasn’t allowed 🙄 maybe you could post with spaces or key words for me.
Well I’ve seen many many success stories from hundreds of women using the borax (remission being the result).
I’ve used very little borax as I’m so sensitive to everything. But after it seemed to worsen in the beginning I kept at it and for the last two days I’ve been (knock wood) so much better!). I’m not out far enough to say remission, but I can say I don’t feel the need for clob!! Yesterday or today. I won’t stop suddenly though as I’ve heard that can cause problems. Maybe 3x/week then 2, 1... none if possible.
A few gals on the page I mentioned said it got worse before better and that’s why I kept at it.
So I sometimes put epsom, or Dead Sea salts in as well, with the baking soda & just a small amount (1/2 tsp) of borax.
Regular baths were not working out for me and neither did using cotton pad/balls. Sitz bath has been perfect. It is recommended twice a day, but I’m managing once a day.
Fingers toes & eyes crossed!!
Hope my Emuaid gets here fast! I’m almost out!
Keep me posted as to how you’re doing, Susan xoxo

Hi Janie, I haven't purchased the tea yet. I have a hard time too with pills. I'll let you know what I purchase.
Take care.
