I live in Houston, TX so it's almost always hot and humid year-round. I flare terribly when i sweat and have made the mistake of not leaving on a cotton thong under my spandex workout pants when I have gone to the gym. If I sweat profusely, I have uncontrollable itching and swelling for days. I have to always remember to wear cotton panties, change when i get home and immediately shower. I recently bought some sweat-wicking panties from Exofficio but i am afraid to try them out because they are not 100% cotton. I am going to Puerto Rico in July and am afraid I will have terrible flares form all the sweating I will be doing. I also ordered but have not tried yet Zeasorb for my vacation to help absorb some of the moisture down under.

Have you tried wrapping frozen peas/vegetables in a napkin and holding them in place for a while? I haven't tried it yet but read that it's what many people have done with immediate relief. I don't know how long the relief lasts though but others have commented that it made the inflammation go down and was soothing because of the cooling effects.

I have definitely done the frozen peas, especially in Summer time as we have a very warm climate. It definitely helps as it numbs it and the inflammation goes down. Put it on for at least 20-40mins. Make sure you have something between your sore area and the peas like a dishcloth or else you will just get cold burn. I would like on my bed with the aircon on cold to get me whole body temp down with the pack of peas on...not a pretty sight 😂 but it works!!!
