Lichen sclerosis ??? Pictures included

hi there! so ive had nerve compression in my pelvic area which i have been treating with nerve block injections and physical therapy - i also recently did an allergy patch test and found out that i am allergic to most of the products i have been using on my vulva for the last 5 months - my symptom is just constant burning - very rarely but sometimes a little itchy .... since removing all the irritants the burning has gotten a bit better but i have not used any steroid creams - just removed the irritants and only wash with water - i had my dermatologist examine my vulva and she is saying that she doesn't see any signs of lichen sclerosis and my new gynecologist recently performed her exam and doesn't see any physical signs of lichen sclerosis but suggested a biopsy to check and rule it out if anything .... i have different color skin thoughout my labia minora primarily at where it folds which could be normal but im freaking out after doing more research since the skin is lighter where it folds (see pictures) .... does anyone with lichen or educated in it look at the photos and suggest whether or not they think it could be LS? if so ill go ahead and get the biopsy done imageimage

the darker patches look like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This could be caused by LS. You dont have the classic white plaques but there does look to be some inflammation. I wouldnt rule out LS.

my gyno just got my blood work back and i am very low in testosterone and estrogen which she believes is causing the burning along with some contact dermatitis - she no longer wants to do the biopsy and ruled put LS for now - prescribed me estrogen+ testosterone cream along with steroid ointment for the dermatitis - will be using both for 6 weeks - if it helps we wont do the biopsy - if not we will move forward with the biopsy

thats great. really hope both things work for you, as in the hormone creams and the steroid.
