Lichen sclerosis with herpes and nerve pain

I have had genital herpes for 35 years and got diagnosed with LS 4 years ago- recently I have developed nerve pain on the left side of vulva and buttock- pain clinic doctor suggested pelvic physical therapy and a sacral nerve block- any thoughts or advice on this issue

I don't know about herpes. Just LS. If nerve block means a surgical procedure however, it could affect the LS.
