Hi Theresa, sorry that your doctor isn't helping you. If I were you i would start reading all the posts on this site, it's full of the most fantastic information and treatment and some you coulld try withough depending on your doctor. Home remadie from bicarb of soda to coconut oil. Start reading, you will know that you are not on your own.

It might be a good idea to ask your doctor to see a dermatologist, if your doctor isn't any help. I found that my doctors where slightly clueless on this condition.

For me the itch has been the worst part. I finally have relief. I had 3 Mona Lisa Touch treatments that have restored much of the tissue Bi still have the occasional flare and do the baking soda hot bath followed by massaging in the clob. Ointment.

    Some ordinary household methods:

What helps me is a baking soda bath (1/3 of a cup) with some drops of tea tree oil, plus baking soda rinses (three pinches in a Perin bottle)   after every bathroom visit, dab dry and cover with coconut oil.

Theresa, I fill the entire bottle with warm water.

At present I'm experimenting a bit with the tea tree oil.  For the longest time I've been adding a good number of drops in the bath.  But now I have mixed in a few drops in the coconut oil.  As I said, it's an experiment.  So I can not tell you much about the outcome yet.
