Lichen Sclerosus

I'm pretty sure I have Lichen Sclerosus but I am yet to get a doctor's diagnosis. I have read all about it and can see it's more common in older women, but I'm only 28 and have had ongoing issues for nearly two years. I have severe itchiness of the vulva, severe redness,, the skin has become wrinkled/dry and I also have a few small white spots at the top of the vulva (I haven't noticed this getting worse, just the itching/redness - the itchiness tends to flare up at night).

I will speak to a doctor, but the reason I haven't yet is because I put all these symptoms down to something I was doing, not that I could figure out what! Then I read up on LS. Can anyone else who has it tell me of anything I can do or any creams/ointments I can use to reduce the redness and itching? I have used Sudocrem which used to help but not anymore, and have recently tried E45 Itch Relief cream which doesn't help much either. I find it so embarrassing to talk to friends about and think the redness/wrinkles are so "unattractive" now that I don't want to have sex. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Bee,do see your doctor about this. It may not be Lichen Sclerosus, but your doctor will know the best way to help. Are you taking any form of oral contraceptive?

Many ladies use coconut oil to help with this problem. It wont cause any problems and may help you before you get to see your doctor.
