Lichen Sclerosus biopsy is negative but I’ve got all the symptoms

GP is great and very supportive I had my biopsy done about 10 days ago rang go for results my GP and not very nice Gyne consultant think it’s LS as I have all the symptoms but my biopsy has come back negative I’m not sure what to think, has anyone else had this

    Hi, I have heard of people getting negative results because they have been using clobetasol or steroid products which interfere with test results. Don't let your doc bully you. Go back and insist you are referred to a skin specialist. Good luck. X

    Hi Sylvia, it is not uncommon for people to have a biopsy and receive a negative, when in fact it is a positive..the problem with that is that of course you dont want another biopsy, but it certainly does not mean that you dont have LS just that in your case it has not shown up.

    I was watching a presentation on LS the other day and I have repeated exactly what the doctor stated.

    If you PM I will send you the link to the doctors presentation where she states this.
