Lichen sclerosus Clitoral pain

my LS is new. I am a 50-year-old perimenopausal woman who is also on progesterone. This progesterone has given me chronic yeast infections on top of my problems with LS. I am now experiencing clitoral pain when I orgasm and there really isn’t a lot of scar tissue by there as I have been soaking and taking the advice of this column. I also use my medication. I am however riddled with these chronic yeast infections which I’ve been using boric acid tablets for. I feel like a normal sex life might be over for me. Everything is so sensitive. Does anybody have any hope or advice for me? I soak in both baking soda and borax. Though borax I am a little bit sensitive too. And mostly soak cotton pads or a Q-tip a few times a week and the areas affected.

Try topical estrogen cream. I found it helped to beef up the skin and it was less sensitive.

Also make sure that you truly have a yeast infection. Right before I was diagnosed, I thought I had a lot of self diagnosed yeast infections I was treating with boric acid capsules however it may have simply been lichen sclerosus.
