I have been diagnoised with lichen since i was about 30 but think i had it since i was in my late teens early 20's. Does anyone sweat in the vaginal area almost like beads of sweat dripping down to the area between the anus and the vagina well i have scratched it so bad i have atrophy my inner vagina lips have disappeared outer lips i no longer have a hood so to speak on my clitorous and it has shrunkin in and covered by what i would call scar tissue and a lesion on the left lower part of whats left of my vaginal lips near the area near the anus. Along with lichen i have hyperkeratosis my insurance will no longer cover clobetasol ointment is there a no name brand or something equal or better i am out of the ointment and its really bad expecially at night when i sleep? Does this effect anyone else worse at night laying down in bed? anything would be much appreciated. thank you very much in advance

Have you tried baking soda baths and rinses? Or have you read the discussion on "An experiment with Borax?" It might give you some thoughts on additional ways to keep LS at bay. I encourage you to read various topics on this site where people have made some interesting discoveries to improve their LS.

Yes, as Hanny mentioned, please read "An experiment with Borax" as soon as you can. My symptoms have all stopped; the burning, itching, biting and pain as soon as I started using Borax and baking soda!. I also have the same fusing you mentioned. I am following the information I read on that site, being patient and hoping for the same result others have achieved! God bless

How do you use the Borax & baking soda? I really want to try something else. I'll see if I can find the article on it. But any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize for the delay and hope you have found the forum on Borax. but in case you havent, there are two ways to use both the Borax and Baking soda. I pour 1/3 of a cup in the tub or about 1/6 of a cup in a Sitz bath and soak in it for about twenty minutes. This was passed on to me by other woman for whom it was very beneficial. On An experiment with Borax, I learned to make a "saturated solution" of Borax by adding Borax to water very slowly and stirring until the water won't accept any more.
I then apply it to my fused areas. I sincerely hope you can find the forum as there is so much really good advice, intend personal testimony. God bless

I have to wear pantyliners as I have had big babies which have caused slight incontenance. Yes I have experienced the same on occassion.. Unfortunately once you start scratching your Bottom you can't stop. My Vagina area Vulva the hood has almost totally flat no volume to the area at all. I have tried so many things to stop myself scratching.I tried wearing cotton gloves in bed but they came off.Ice cold cootonwool which really helped in the summer but as soon as I had heated up the cottonwool with my body temperature I started scratching again. I have suffered for 18years I am 58years old happilly Married and I still want to be enjoying lots of Intermate Moments with my spouse but I don't get much out it lately which is frusturating. But we shall keep trying!!!!!
